Meet the dedicated musicians and educators who lead our ensembles.
Rochelle Fields
Beginning Band, Concert Band
Rochelle Fields has been homeschooling her children for nearly 20 years. She has filled many roles with CCHB over the years, including serving on the Band Leadership Board, as the music librarian, a private lessons instructor, a substitute band director, and as the Wind Ensemble director.
Brent Brondyke
Wind Ensemble, Concert Choir
Mr. Brondyke has been a music educator for over 19 years, teaching both band and choir, and has conducted church music ministry for over 25 years. He holds a B.Mus. in Sacred Music and an M.A. in Bible from Bob Jones University. He and his wife Debi served at Faith Baptist Church in Elida, OH for six years before moving to Rocky Mount, NC, where he was the music minister, school band director, and high school choir director at Falls Road Baptist Church and School for over 17 years. He has taught Biblical philosophy of worship, conducted instrumental and vocal clinics, and led music conferences in several settings, including twice in Curitiba, Brazil. Mr. Brondyke has served as Music Minister at Friendship Baptist Church in Raleigh since 2013.
Jeff Fields
Jazz Band
Mr. Fields has been involved with Capital Christian Homeschool Bands for many years as a parent, private lesson instructor, clinician, board member, and director. He has taught trumpet lessons in the Raleigh area for many years, with at least one private lesson student in each of the All-District bands since 2003. His article on listening to other performers was published by the International Trumpet Guild in 2008. He has played for the University of Memphis Marching and Symphonic bands, as well as several Memphis and local jazz bands.
