Join Our Program
Capital Christian Homeschool Bands welcomes homeschool students of all skill levels. Whether your child is picking up an instrument for the first time or is an experienced musician, there’s a place for them.
Tuition

A one-time $35 registration fee is required for new band families. Tuition may be paid monthly or by the semester. CCHB has a family tuition cap of $175 per month.
Full payment of the yearly total is expected even if a student does not complete the program. Fees cover two rehearsals per week from September through May, as well as three concerts.

What to Bring
Each student will need to supply his or her own instrument including supplies particular to the instrument (reeds, harness, etc.), a sturdy black music stand (we recommend Peak folding stands), the practice book for their ensemble, and a pencil.
Practice books by ensemble:
- Beginner Band — Essential Elements 2000 Book One (for your instrument)
- Concert Band — Essential Elements 2000 Book Two (for your instrument)
- Wind Ensemble — Tradition of Excellence Book Three (for your instrument)
Age & Eligibility Requirements
- Students must be at least 9 years old to start band.
- Students must be at least 12 years old and able to read music to participate in Concert Choir. Middle school students may have additional requirements.
- Students must be a member of Concert Band or Wind Ensemble to be eligible for Jazz Band.
- Wind Ensemble, Jazz Band, and Concert Choir require an audition.
Homeschool Requirement
All students must be homeschooled students following the homeschooling laws provided by the State of North Carolina. We do not require families to belong to any particular homeschool association or hold any previous memberships.
Academic Credit
Capital Christian Homeschool Bands offers 1 hour of credit for each ensemble. Credit documentation is available upon request.
